I am a self-identified geek who has been watching movies and TV since I was a very small child.  I do have other interests like reading books (especially ones that get made into movies or TV shows) but mostly my life revolves around a screen (be it big, small or computer).

Favorites include but aren't always limited to: The Princess Bride, The Dark Knight, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Say Anything, (500) Days of Summer, Almost Famous, Shaun of the Dead, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, (the original) Star Wars trilogy, and Harold and Maude

Guilty pleasure movies include: Blue Crush; Bring it On; any series like Blade, Underworld and Resident Evil; Center Stage ("I am the best [gosh darn] dancer in the American Ballet Academy. Who the hell are you? Nobody"); 300; The Notebook; and the two movies I associate with my college years - Empire Records and Dazed and Confused

Favorite new directors: Rian Johnson, Duncan Jones and Marc Webb

Favorite established directors: Steven Spielberg, Guillermo del Toro, Wes Anderson, Kevin Smith, Christopher Nolan, Cameron Crowe and David Fincher

Favorite TV shows include (in no particular order): Battlestar Galactica (the newer one), The Big Bang Theory, Fringe, Chuck, Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Lost, Veronica Mars, Psych, Haven, The Walking Dead, The Vampire Diaries, Cougar Town, Community, Parks and Recreation, and Freaks and Geeks.  There have been tons more over the years but these are all I can remember right now.

Current guilty pleasure TV: Separated at Birth, The Nine Lives of Chloe King, Project Runway, Ninja Warrior, My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, and So You Think You Can Dance.

Actors I adore: Nathan Fillion, Zachary Levi, Joshua Jackson, and Andrew Garfield

Actresses I don't mind: Helen Mirren, Kate Winslet, Zooey Deschanel, Kristen Bell, and Zoe Saldana

Currently the only actress I'll see in any movie, no matter what: Emma freaking Stone
