I saw The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey yesterday afternoon. I was so excited to actually see a movie on its opening day. The plan was for me to rush to the closest computer to post a quickie review. Then I saw the news. And The Hobbit was not on my mind anymore. To say we can't understand why someone would do such a thing would be the biggest understatement ever. Everything about what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary yesterday is heartbreaking. It was beyond sad. There's nothing else I can say that hasn't already been said by many others. Just keep the families of everyone at Sandy Hook in your thoughts and prayers. Also, give someone you love a hug today and tell them what they mean to you.
